The Young Tassie Scientists Roadshows will once again be visiting schools all over Tasmania during August in celebration of National Science Week. Prepare to be amazed and inspired as they share their stories about what they do and why they do it!

Huge Astronomy and Aurora Photography Festival – for schools and for the public – includes FREE live science shows with real life scientists, exhibitions, Virtual Reality, ROCKETRY workshops and a PLANETARIUM! Come ask the Young Tassie Scientists all your science questions!

Celebrate Science Week in Tasmania at the Festival of Bright Ideas! Come mingle with scientists and science communicators with a diverse program of hands-on activities, science entertainment, and celebrity speakers. Come see some real-life science with the Young Tassie Scientists!

Local schools are bringing their science into New Norfolk! This afternoon will include science and engineering activities, local industry and of course, some great presentations and fun science activities with the Young Tassie Scientists!

Bringing together students, parents, schools and the broader community with sustainability experts, industry and scientists for science related activities. This is a community driven event, in collaboration with council, major and local industry, community organisations and the University of Tasmania – all committed to the future of Beaconsfield and George Town children, youth and families.

The Huon Valley knows how to Science – local schools will converge at Huonville Primary for an afternoon of Science, Engineering & Robotics! See local student’s Science Invetigatios on display, watch student’s robots competing, try your hand at some engineering, and of course, see interactive presentations from the Young Tassie Scientists – with bonus fun hands-on science activities too!

YTS at RoboCup Junior Tasmanian Finals

Primary & secondary students across Tasmania design, build & program robots to compete in one of three categories – Rescue, Dance and Soccer. Open for spectators – come see robots in action! Young Tassie Scientists will be judging the various competitions, and are available to answer all your science questions!
